Are these tools free to use?
Yes. Every calculator on Easy Hair Edit is free, has no account, no download and no usage cap. The pages are static, so they load fast on a salon phone with patchy reception.
Can I trust the numbers for a real client?
The math follows standard colorimetry practice: developer ratios, level and underlying pigment, gray percentage rules, processing windows. Treat the output as a professional starting point, then follow the brand instructions and strand test. Hair varies more than any formula can.
Do the tools work with my color brand?
The calculators are brand-neutral. Where a brand matters, such as the mixing ratio for a specific line, you choose it yourself and the tool does the arithmetic. Brand-specific charts and converters are on the roadmap.
Do you store what I type into a calculator?
No. The calculations run in your browser. Some tools remember your last inputs in your own browser storage so you do not have to retype them, and that never leaves your device.
Who builds and checks the tools?
Easy Hair Edit is built by a small independent team with input from working colorists. Each tool page lists its last review date, and we correct anything a stylist tells us is off. Reach us through the support page.
